Missing Red Girls is based on TRUE STORIES about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW), inspired by Jennifer James, activist, storyteller and mother. It follows two families on their journeys to find their loved ones who were stolen from them. The families endure racism, many obstacles and very few resources. This play is, in part, activism and a way to honor our missing and murdered SISTERS and a fundraiser to help Native families who've endured one of their own missing and/or murdered to gain access to resources and to bring awareness about this epidemic. This is Bidasha's second play and James's first.
